Alignment Angles

Get Alignment Angles for Your Satellite SAR Mission Reference Targets

With this free service you can compute your reference target alignment angles for the German synthetic aperture radar (SAR) missions TerraSAR-X and TanDEM-X.

Man-made targets like corner reflectors or active calibrators (transponders) are often placed within a SAR scene as a geometric or radiometric reference. For the purpose of calibration, these targets have to be precisely aligned with the line-of-sight of the satellite.

This DLR service allows you to enter the geographic coordinates of your reference targets and to specify a relevant time frame. Based on this input, the alignment angles for your targets will be computed.
